Hello Guatemala Team!
Hanna here… It thrills me to announce that I will serve as your team leader this summer. I look forward to getting to know each one of you and to seeing the amazing ways the Lord will work in the coming months!
But, first things first — Since we’ll spend so much time together, we need to get to know each other. I live in Clermont, GA, just a few miles north of Gainesville, but I grew up in the Chicago area. I enjoy coffee, chocolate, reading and hanging out with friends, but the passion of my life is Jesus Christ. I grew up hearing about Him, came to know Him personally at age 8 and surrenedered my whole life to Him at 17. Since then, I’ve attended Bible college, served on the staff of 2 churches and spent several years on the mission field. Right now, I help staff a small church, and I nanny for three amazing little girls, ages 8 months, 6 and 10. So far, my missions experience has included time in the US, Mexico, Canada, England, Ireland, Romania, the Dominican Republic, India, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Philippines. As you can see, I have never visited Central America so I feel blessed that the Lord has presented me with the opportunity to serve in Guatemala this summer. I know He has wonderful plans for us, to mold us more and more in His image as we serve and to use us to reach the people of Guatemala with the good news of the Gospel.
