Hey I'm Emily, I'm fifteen! I'm from a small unheard of town in southern CA called Yucaipa, or as we call it here, yuc-town. We make many jokes about Yucaipa and how lame it is, but I love it here and can't imagine growing up anywhere else. I'm on my high school's track and field team, my event is hurdling. My friends are my life and the greatest people I know. I consider myself to be outgoing and very social, I make friends very easily. Music is something I'm passionate about, making it and listening to it. I love to have fun and am very easy to please and amuse! I'm the youngest in my family and have an older brother that's about seven years older then I am. I have grown up hanging out with guys, and most my friends are still guys to this day. If I had to choose one item I own to describe myself with it would be my rainbow flip-flops, I wear them every day unless its raining, and I have worn them pretty much everywhere!

     I love to travel and see new places and experience new cultures. This will be my second trip to Guatemala, and I'm very excited about. The people of Guatemala took my heart, and I love the culture and the beauty of them, their simple way of life. This trip will be far different from the one I went on before, I won't have old friends by my side, but I'm excited to do something on my own. I have spent the past two summers doing missions work of all kinds with my youth group, and have found a passion for it, as well as people. To me missions trips are not a vacation, they're a chance to share God and experience new cultures, as well as work hard, which is something I'm not afraid of, but something I enjoy.
